Registered Social Worker | True Psychotherapy
Lovely to meet you! I’m Lyndsey, a Registered Social Worker who believes meaningful change begins with feeling heard, understood, and supported. My approach is collaborative and tailored to each individual, drawing on solution-focused and emotion-focused approaches. I also enjoy incorporating creativity and play into therapy when appropriate, helping clients explore new perspectives, recognize their strengths, and navigate life’s challenges at their own pace.
I hold a Bachelor of Social Work from Nipissing University and a Master of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University. I have been registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) since 2020 and have experience supporting individuals across diverse ages, backgrounds, and lived experiences. I have developed a particular passion for supporting young adults and older adults as they navigate life transitions, overcome challenges, and discover their strengths.
I have a particular interest in supporting individuals experiencing anxiety and depression, neurodivergence, caregiver fatigue, and life transitions. I am also passionate about working with young adults navigating the complexities of adulthood, individuals exploring their identity or seeking 2SLGBTQIA+-affirming support, and older adults adjusting to the changes and challenges that can come with aging.
Outside of the therapy room, you’ll often find me cuddling with my very spoiled cat, Aurora, binge-watching TV dramas, or working on a craft project. I love learning new creative skills, solving puzzles, and tackling IKEA furniture (which feels like its own kind of puzzle!). I bring that same curiosity and creativity into my work, helping clients explore new perspectives and find approaches that feel meaningful and right for them.
Whatever brings you to therapy, Lyndsey aims to meet you where you are, helping you feel heard, understood, and supported as you work toward meaningful change.
You don’t have to have everything figured out to get started. Sometimes, the first step is simply having a space where you can talk things through. I look forward to supporting you on your journey toward healing and growth.
